If you want to know what I thought about Northgard, you can read my review of it here. Because of that, I can’t unequivocally recommend the Clan of the Snake DLC for Northgard.
I would much rather have a higher priced DLC that adds a much larger chunk of gameplay. I’m personally not a big fan of DLCs that add factions to a game, and this method of developing DLCs has courted controversy for other games in the past (do you remember Evolve?). But if you mostly play solo in single player, Clan of the Snake is less of a great proposition. If multiplayer is your thing, this DLC offers good value that adds a new play style to the game. Your enjoyment of what it brings to the table depends on how you play Northgard. You’ll probably have to rethink strategies and tactics you’ve grown accustomed to.Īt a mere USD4.99 (RM12.50) Clan of the Snake is a relatively low-priced DLC.
It allows the player to choose a clan to conquer Northgard in a series of up to 10 challenges.
Conquest Mode was added on October the 22nd as a free update to the game. You’ll be using hit and run techniques and targeting civilians to gain most from the special abilities of the clan. Conquest Mode is the third major update of the game. Northgard Conquest - Northgard Conquest is a standalone game-mode that can be played solo or co-op, with a succession of various challenges offering a gaming expansion of +100 hours. Each clan can only have one relic per game and can only use the relic it creates. The Clan's Lore Tree will allow it to mine and forge more quickly, to gather Lore when mining or to boost it's general production when placing Relics. With such a unique warchief and even a knowledge you unlock that enables you to steal an opponents lore, the Clan of the Snake DLC is an interesting one that presents a different approach to Northgard. Every clan can choose between 5 common Relics and each clan has one specific relic. To mine a deposit with one of the Warchiefs (or with both), no need to build a mine, just assign them directly to the ore. They are at the center of the Clan mechanics, mainly because they are the only ones able to mine Stone or Iron, and Forge Tools, Weapons and Relics. They can be recruited from Völund's Forge. Upgrading this forge will increase the forging speed by 20%.Įitria and Brok are the clan of the Horse’s Warchiefs. In Northgard: Uncharted Lands, players lead a viking clan discovering a new continent. The regular forge is replaced by Völund's Forge. The clan also has its own Relic, that will boost the Warchiefs survivability, forge and mining speed! When reaching fame levels, the Clan of the Horse will gain additionnal tool improvements and the ability to build a second Relic! Villagers build and repair buildings faster.Völund's Forge replaces the regular Forge The base game offers six clans to choose from: Stag, Goat, Wolf, Raven, Bear and Boar and the add-ons will get you up to six more at the time of writing: Snake. Both Warchiefs can fight, mine ore and forge.Eitria and Brok are the 2 clan Warchiefs, they can be recruited in the Forge, instead of the usual Military Camps. The Stag and Goat clans are the best for the beginners the former for. The clan starts with specific advantages: We probably know a few things about the original clans by now.
They are also recognized by all as the best craftsmen and women of the known world. Led by Brok and Eitria, two spirited siblings, the Clan of the Horse are a quiet and sturdy people.
